Thunderbird Adventist Academy

Thunderbird Adventist Academy – Bookkeeper– Part-time to Full-time

The Accountant is responsible to help those who call or come to the department for assistance with a pleasant, tactful and friendly demeanor. The qualified individual is personable and possesses sound judgment, self-initiative, organizational abilities, strong oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills while performing administrative and office support activities for multiple supervisors with minimum day-to-day supervision.  The Accountant will possess well developed keyboard and general computer literacy skills. They will be required to develop an understanding and a working knowledge of Church policy and its organizational structure. They are responsible for Church, Student, Tenant and Vendor Billing and the management of certain accounts receivable.

Bus Driver

This position is a part-time, hourly position which pays $17.50 per hour. The bus driver is responsible for transporting students to and from school and special events, completing regular vehicle safety checks, enforcing conduct and safety rules on bus and maintaining a clean vehicle. The bus driver must also be a Seventh-day Adventist member in regular standing, hold a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement and successfully complete background checks. Food Service Assistant

This position is a part-time, hourly position which pays $14 per hour. The food service assistant is responsible for cooking and baking as needed, assisting with meal set-up, organizing purchasing of supplies, and maintaining a clean, neat and orderly work area. The food service assistant must be a Seventh-day Adventist member in regular standing, have work experience (one year in food service preferred) and ability to obtain and maintain a current State Food Handler's License or National Manager's License.
